Youngsters' letters to Santa Claus are one of the most magical parts of the yuletide season. The tradition of writing letters to Santa dates back to the 1800s. Originally, it was Santa who wrote letters to the youngsters, particularly those on the naughty list who needed a little nudge to make their way to the nice list. Then in 1871, artist Thomas Nast drew an image of Santa sorting through mail that was sent to him, and the practice grew from there. Today it's an integral part of Christmas for most youngsters, and also one that is very much cherished Our learners were opportuned to write letters to Santa requesting for a Christmas gift on Wednesday the 2nd of November, 2022. It did not only teach them the importance of good behaviour, but they also learnt how a post office works; from stamping the letter to posting the letter. It was an exciting time for all the pupils and students of Spring Valley School.
